Frequently asked questions.

You’ve got questions. We’ve got answers.

Wait, are you getting married at the old Action Park?

Yes. Yes, we are. With all of the days spent in the park as kids, and all of the weekends spent running Spartan Races, there was a bit of nostalgia in the choice. The venue also had all of the amenities at one location; lodging, ceremony, reception, and after party. We felt that minimizing the logistics for everyone would allow for more time to enjoy themselves.

Is the water park going to be open?

Sadly, no. The water park opens for the season the following weekend. We’re bummed about it too. The hotel pool will be open if you’re staying there.

Where do I park?

There is parking available on site next to the Appalachian Hotel. There will be signs to direct the flow of traffic. We believe that when you pull in, guests staying at the hotel go to the left and guests that are here for just the event go to the right.

How do we get from the reception hall / hotel to the ceremony?

Rides to the ceremony start at 4:15 pm and end promptly at 4:45 pm. Venue staff will direct you to the ride location (it’s over by all of the mountain bikers). Flip-flops will be available for the ride in case you’re wearing heels. We are planning to have an outdoor ceremony.

Can I bring a plus 1?

Not without talking to us first. We’re only inviting additional guests if you’re in a relationship. If you’ve been dating someone for awhile and we don’t know about it, let us know so that we can adjust our guest list accordingly. We got a bunch of tea when we were asking for updated addresses, so the guest list should be pretty accurate. However, we know things can change. If they do, reach out to us!

Can I bring the whole family/kids?

As much as we love all of your little ones, we had to make a cutoff somewhere due to space limitations. Call a sitter and come enjoy a fun night out! If you are traveling or have other concerns about this, please reach out to us as there will be some kids at the wedding.

What is the dress code?

The dress code for this event is formal. That means suit up or put on a dress (Rudy often has to look it up or ask Sue what each type of dress code means). We are planning to have the ceremony outdoors and everything else indoors.

Is there a wedding hashtag?

Let’s go with #RudyAndSue for now.

How do I RSVP?

We are having all of the guests RSVP through this website. The RSVP page will go live once we send out the invitations. We might choose to password protect the RSVP page. If we do, we will include the password with the invitations. When you get to the RSVP page, let us know if you’re coming or not and select how many guests (including yourself) from the drop down menu. You’ll be asked for the name of each guest (including yourself) and which entree that guest would like for dinner. Don’t forget to click the “Submit” button when you are done! If you need help with the RSVP, please reach out to us!

What if I have food restrictions?

You can select an entree and then list your food restriction in the space below the question, i.e. you pick the steak and then list you are gluten free or have an allergy. If none of the entree options fit your food restriction, please choose option 4 “Other, please list food restrictions below” for your dinner selection on the RSVP page and list them. The venue wants to know about this ahead of time so that they can prepare quality dinners for our guests that can’t eat one of the entrees that we have selected.

Is there a block of rooms available?

Yes. Please use code: Orosz Gordon Wedding when booking your room online. The room block rate is available for the night before and the night of the wedding. To get the room block rate, you must book your room no later than 30 days before the event. Try to book before 5/3/26 to avoid missing the room block rate.

What time is check-in / check-out?

Check-in is 4 pm and later. Check-out is no later than 11 am or you could be subject to a late departure charge.

Can I use cash at the resort?

No. Mountain Creek is a cashless resort.

What if I forgot an item or need a snack?

The Appalachian has a small cafe for some snacks. There is a CVS down the street, along with a Dunkin’ and other fast food restaurants. There will be tons of food at the wedding though!

What are some local attractions or things to do in the area?

We live right across the NY/NJ border in Warwick (it’s the next town over from Vernon) and there’s tons to do there if you’re in town for a few days. Visit a winery, a cidery, or a brewery as there are several of each. We have about 9 different locations within 2 miles of our house. There’s also a drive-in movie theater and a bowling alley. Plenty of great places to eat as well. Warwick has their weekly farmers market in town on Sundays.
